About Me

I’m an emerging music educator and brass player with a background in composition, performance, and digital music production. After completing my Bachelor of Music (Composition) at the Sydney Conservatorium in 2019, I’ve developed a teaching and creative practice that includes classroom music teaching, instrumental and music theory tutoring, and professional composition work.

My creative career has included composing for film, theatre, and dance, with works such as Bragi’s Lament performed internationally at the Verona Conservatorio in 2017. I’ve also had the privilege of collaborating with organisations like Moorambilla Voices and the March Dance festival. In education, I have worked as a private brass tutor for many years, and over the last two years have been involved in school-wide instrumental instruction and concert band conducting. Watching young musicians collaborate and create in these settings has been fundamental to my developing sense of who I am as a teacher.

In my teaching I aim to develop well rounded musicians who are simultaneously confident performers, thoughtful listeners and creative music makers. I hope to welcome students to a classroom that is inclusive and collaborative, and a place for the great discovery of music.
